Our Heritage — The Safari Jacket
Created by Tebo Dambe in 2010, the Safari Jacket marked the beginning of the TEBO DAMBE® menswear collection. Its distinctive construction and considered design details reflect the founder's approach to combining contemporary tailoring with practical outerwear. The jacket became a defining piece in the development of the brand's menswear identity.

The Safari Jacket was created following TEBO DAMBE®'s work with Team Botswana for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Inspired by the colors and symbolism of the Botswana flag — visible on the inside collars, shoulder flaps and wrists — the blue, black and white stripes are the exact colors of the national flag. The design brought together contemporary tailoring with cultural meaning.

Our Heritage Safari Jackets are made in Los Angeles, California, United States of America, and feature a double-breasted front, hidden diagonal zipper and distinctive buttons. It was designed by our Founder and Creative Director, who sketched the male anatomy with actor Michael Jai White as the focus, encompassing his broad shoulders and muscular arms. The Safari Jacket remains a signature of the TEBO DAMBE® menswear collection.

What began as a single design became one of the brand's best-selling pieces and helped establish the TEBO DAMBE® menswear line.
